INTRODUCTION
The Men’s football club runs 3 teams and has enjoyed much success recently, with the 1st XI winning the SESSA challenge plate in 2002. All of the teams compete in the BUSA league championships and are now looking for a new influx of players to take us to even higher levels for the coming season, as the standard is sure to rise.
Selection for the teams will be based on trials that take place at the start of term. Training is once a week at Turney road with F.A. qualified coaches that help to maintain a great team spirit.
Socially the football club is the biggest sports club in the university and this is reflected on the attendance’s after matches in the Student Union, the club also arranges many social events so you are guaranteed to have a jam packed calendar.
The club also offers the opportunity for the 4 best players to enter the trials for the British Universities Squad.
So if you enjoy being part of a team with a strong sprit then London South Bank University Football Club is the club for you.
