SABBATICAL OFFICER ELECTIONS NEWSFLASH:

Elections Count Postponed - from the Returning Officer (Tuesday 6th May 2008)

The counting of votes in this year's Sabbatical officer elections has been postponed until Wednesday 7th May at 10am.

This is because a number of complaints have been received by the Returning Officer and need to be resolved before the commencement of the count.

As the deadline for the count has passed, no further complaints in relation to the conduct of the election can be received.

GREAT NEWS FOR STUDENTS!

After a few months of campaigning and lobbying by the S.U. President Victor Ofosu, VP Welfare & Campaigns Sam Cunningham, and VP Communications Ali Ghaffari about extending the openning hours of the Perry Library, and the LRC, finally it has been agreed that the University will keep the Library and the LRC open until midnight on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Therefore the PERRY LIBRARY and the LRC will be OPEN UNTIL MIDNIGHT ON EVERY DAY.

Also for the first time this year the library and the LRC will be staying open on May Day bank holiday and the late spring holiday.

It will be all effective from 30th April.

The Students' Union's Sabbatical Officers would like to thank Mr Robert Hall, Director of the Centre for Learning Support and Development, who has kindly helped us.

We are also looking to have computer rooms in some of the residence halls such as MClaren House.
